Chalmers Energy Centre is a meeting place and a catalyst for research, education and innovation focusing on the field of energy at Chalmers University of Technology. Our mission is to be an internationally competitive centre for the development of sustainable energy systems. Energy is currently one of Chalmers foremost areas of strength and around one third of our research is directly energy-related. Chalmers Energy Centre initiates, develops and co-ordinates large inter-disciplinary research projects as well as education activities in collaboration with the academic world, society, business and industry.

Christina Lampe-Önnerud Earns Top Sustainable Lead

Boston-Power®, Inc., the rapidly growing provider of next-generation lithium-ion batteries, today announced that company founder and CEO Dr. Christina Lampe-Önnerud has earned the prestigious 2010 Sustainable Leadership Award. Presented by the Swedish Association of Environmental Managers and adding to an expanding list of international accolades for Dr. Lampe-Önnerud's contributions to combating climate change and fostering environmental sustainability, the award ceremony was a highlight of Sustainability Day in Sweden.

Green Highway

Sundsvall-Östersund and Trondheim municipalities collaborate in three areas which may contribute to a positive development within the municipalities. Green Highway and the electric car project is one part in the effort to develop the infrastructure and valid communications.

Green Highway is a venture to create a green transport axis along a renewable energy belt, including investments in electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, renewable fuels, testing and development, as well as building up and spreading knowledge of this.
