The Angstrom Laboratory is a large building complex at Polacksbacken, belonging to Uppsala University. It holds several departments, institutes and research groups within the science and technology branch encompassing advanced as well as basic research in physics, chemistry, mathematics and materials science. The Angstrom Laboratory constitutes one of Europes most advanced laboratories for materials science, you will also find the largest university clean room in the Nordic countries, Angstrom Microstructure Laboratory (MSL), with state-of-the-art equipment, know-how, education and continuous user support. We are also educating students at various master programmes in an environment with strong research connection.

Green Highway

Sundsvall-Östersund and Trondheim municipalities collaborate in three areas which may contribute to a positive development within the municipalities.  Green Highway and the electric car project is one part in the effort to develop the infrastructure and valid communications.

Green Highway is a venture to create a green transport axis along a renewable energy belt, including investments in electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, renewable fuels, testing and development, as well as building up and spreading knowledge of this.
