Seabased AB develops industrial solutions for sustainable conversion of ocean wave energy to electricity, thereby creating lasting value for consumers, customers, society and shareholders.

 

The company was founded in 2001 and was originally an innovation and patent holding company closely associated with the research being done at the Swedish Centre for Renewable Electric Energy Conversion at the Angstrom Laboratory, Uppsala University.They lead the world in generator design and the research is directed by Professor Mats Leijon who together with Associate Professor Hans Bernhoff are the founders and majority owners of the company. Seabased Industry AB is the operative unit of the group and is engaged in industrial research and development as well as production, marketing and environmental analysis.

Green Highway

Sundsvall-Östersund and Trondheim municipalities collaborate in three areas which may contribute to a positive development within the municipalities.  Green Highway and the electric car project is one part in the effort to develop the infrastructure and valid communications.

Green Highway is a venture to create a green transport axis along a renewable energy belt, including investments in electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, renewable fuels, testing and development, as well as building up and spreading knowledge of this.
